What is the Electric Field?
Electric fields have an effect on that around it depending on the electrons and protons. When an item gets closer to the field the more that the field has an effect on that item. Electric fields have a very adverse effect on electronic hardware.
Electric Field on a Single Charge:
1. Any charged object is surrounded by an electric field.
2. An electric field will depend on the size of and distance to the charge.
3. The electric field is a vector quantity.
4. The field lines are drawn as arrows.

The electric field is defined as the force per unit charge.
E= Electric Field (N/C)
Fe= Electrostatic Force (N)
q= Test Charge (C)
Fe= Electrostatic Force (N)
q= Test Charge (C)
Equation to find Electric Field Intensity
When you substitute in Coulomb's Law, you get this equation to find Electric Field strength.
